Two Resurgens Orthopaedics nurses, Kelly Cunningham, RN, and Jane Holston, RN, ONC, were recently awarded scholarships offered by the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses (NAON), the premier orthopaedic nursing organization in the country.
Kelly Cunningham, RN, is the 2010 Ann Miles Total Joint Office Nurse Fellowship recipient. Cunningham serves patients at the Resurgens Cumming office with Dr. David Covall.
Jane Holston, RN, ONC, is the 2010 Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Board (ONCB) Scholarship recipient. Holston serves patients at the Resurgens Midtown office with Dr. Howard McMahan.

The Fellowship is offered to a NAON member who is currently practicing in an orthopaedic surgeon’s office or is an orthopaedic nurse and interested in becoming an office nurse. Through this Fellowship, Cunningham receives exposure to a specialty total joint office practice where two days are spent in an office setting and one day in a hospital setting, including the operating room at Cedar Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA. The Fellowship also provides for attendance at NAON's Annual Congress in Seattle.
The 2010 ONCB Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding nurse who has an Orthopaedic Nurses Certification (ONC). The ONCB endows two $1,000 scholarships through the NAON Foundation each year: one scholarship for an ONC and one for an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN).
