On Saturday, January 12, 2008, Resurgens Orthopaedics' Charitable Foundation will host its Third Annual Youth Baseball Safety and Training Seminar for Coaches. Open to all Little League parents and youth league baseball coaches in the metro Atlanta and surrounding areas, this free seminar will be conducted at the Georgia Tech Global Learning and Conference Center from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Seminar topics will include pitching and youth baseball, training and conditioning for the youth baseball player, and sports safety.

The 1st Annual Georgia Orthopaedic Trauma Symposium was held on Friday, September 7, 2007, at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta. The one-day educational conference was designed for orthopaedic physicians and allied health personnel and provided an overview of controversial orthopaedic trauma cases and fracture reconstruction cases.
Resurgens Orthopaedics hosted the conference, and through a joint sponsorship with the Medical Association of Georgia Institute for Excellence in Medicine (MAG Institute) was able to provide 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 credits to attending physicians.
Douglas W. Lundy, MD, FACS, an orthopaedic trauma surgeon with Resurgens Orthopaedics, served as the course director. The course keynote speaker was Larry Marsh, MD, Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. The course faculty included the following Resurgens physicians: Mary Jo Albert, MD, Richard Cohen, MD, David Covall, MD, and Jon Minter, DO. The remaining course faculty was comprised of Thomas Moore, MD, from Emory Healthcare, Dan Schlatterer, DO, from Atlanta Medical Center, Michael Tucker, MD, from the University of South Carolina, and Todd Zeigler, MD, from Atlanta Orthopedics.
The American Red Cross recognizes Resurgens Charitable Foundation for their generosity with hurricane relief for Hurricane's Katrina and Rita.
The physicians and staff donated over $50,000 to the Red Cross to assist in their relief efforts and received recognition for their support from Terry Duckett of the American Red Cross.
