Clinical Research and Trials

Medical research and clinical trials are crucial to advancing the art and science of healthcare.  Resurgens Spine Center is committed to this advancement and is on the cutting edge of developing new technologies and approaches for treatment of spine conditions.  This type of research is an important way to improve healthcare and offer new treatment options for a wide variety of spinal disorders.  
 
A clinical study is scientific study to test new drugs or treatments and compare them to current, standard treatments. Before a new treatment is used on people, it is studied in the lab.  If the lab studies suggest the treatment works, it is tested in patients. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) or other regulatory authorities sometimes require a clinical research study before a device can be approved for use.  These human studies are called clinical studies or clinical trials.
